U.S. Congresswoman Young Kim visited Coast Plaza Hospital Aug. 7 for a briefing with Pipeline Health executives and hospital leadership. The visit was designed to introduce the congresswoman to Coast Plaza. The discussion covered the financial challenges facing safety net hospitals such as those in the Pipeline Health system.
The briefing also included information about Coast Plaza’s new Behavioral Health Unit, meeting a critical need among underserved communities in the Los Angeles area. Following the briefing, the congresswoman toured several areas of the hospital.
