Sandy Ortega is the most recent employee to receive our Exemplary Employee Award. The award recognizes outstanding employees who demonstrate their commitment to patients, family and co-workers through acts of caring, compassion and excellent customer service.
Ortega is a Registered Nurse on the Med-Surg Unit. She has worked at Coast Plaza since February 2017. Two of her co-workers nominated her for this award with the following comments:
“Sandy is very helpful, patient, and always very polite.”
“Sandy treats every employee, old and new, with professionalism and respect. She goes out of her way to make sure that new staff know everyone on the floor, and she even introduces them to the physicians that comes to do their rounds. She is always available to respond to queries such as questions about unfamiliar procedures and hospital policies. She is a good nurse to her patients and truly advocates for their welfare. She is a wonderful treasure here at Coast Plaza Hospital.”
