Memorial Hospital of Gardena has honored Joseph Mann, RN, with the prestigious DAISY Award. The award recognizes a nurse’s deep compassion for patients served.
Mann works in the med-surg/telemetry department. He joined the Gardena team in September 2025.
He was nominated by the wife of a recent patient.
The patient’s wife characterized Mann as an “extraordinary nurse.” She described him as “compassionate, hardworking, attentive to patient and family.”
In the nomination, she also commented that Mann works well in fast-paced environment. “He answered our questions and responded quickly.”
