Coast Plaza Hospital celebrated National Emergency Medical Systems (EMS) Week May 21-27 with heartfelt thanks to the local EMS professionals who partner in the care of patients they transport to the hospital’s emergency department.
Throughout the week, an estimated 75 EMS professionals were welcomed on campus to receive a hot lunch and an orange towel with the Coast Plaza logo – a gift of appreciation for their service. The lunchtime menu varied day by day and included hot dogs, hamburgers, carne asada and barbecue shrimp.

Hospital CEO Patrick Rafferty expressed his personal thanks to the EMS team for their role in caring for the patients in the local community.
