Norwalk, CA – May 13, 2021 – Coast Plaza Hospital (CPH) of Pipeline Health Los Angeles was recognized for their dedicated service to vaccinate the Norwalk community at an award presentation on May 6, 2021.
In addition to administering vaccines at various locations, CPH staff also participated in a home-delivered vaccination program to help area senior citizens who are not ambulatory and couldn’t get to a healthcare facility.
Jennifer Perez, Mayor of Norwalk, presented the award to select CPH staff and a video presentation will be released at the next City Council meeting on May 18.
“We are very proud that we were able to offer homebound seniors the opportunity to get vaccinated since this is a rare program that is not widely offered in other parts of L.A. County,” said Mayor Perez.
“Our team is nothing short of heroic, vaccinating over 9,000 people over the course of just a few months. It has been a time of uncertainty and fear for many, but we couldn’t be more thrilled about the outreach we’ve achieved alongside Norwalk City volunteers and community leaders. From their assistance in disseminating vaccine information to the public, to traffic control and safety, to connecting our team to the homebound population, we cannot express our gratitude enough for their continued and steadfast support,” said Patrick Rafferty, CEO of Coast Plaza Hospital.
